Preheat the grill to 400°F (200°C). Prepare four heavy-duty aluminum foil sheets, each about 12 inches square.

Meanwhile, prepare the Cajun Butter Sauce: Melt the stick of butter in a small saucepan. Add minced garlic, lemon juice, Creole Kick seasoning, and fresh parsley. Mix well and let simmer for a few minutes.

In a stockpot, bring 2 quarts of water to a boil over high heat. Add potatoes and corn, then reduce heat to simmer. Cook for 10 minutes until tender but not mushy. Drain and set aside.

In a piece of aluminum foil, place shrimp, sausage, onion, garlic, cooked potatoes, and corn. Pour melted butter over the mixture and season with salt, pepper, and Creole Kick Seasoning.

Place the packets on the grill and cook for 7 to 8 minutes. Flip them over and cook for an additional 7 to 8 minutes, until contents are cooked through.

Carefully open the packets and transfer the contents to serving plates. Drizzle with Cajun Butter Sauce, garnish with chopped parsley and lemon wedges, and serve hot.

Expert Tips and Tricks:

  • For extra flavor, marinate the shrimp in Cajun seasoning for 30 minutes before assembling the packets.
  • Don’t overcook the shrimp! They cook quickly on the grill, so keep an eye on them to prevent them from becoming tough and rubbery.
  • Feel free to customize the ingredients to suit your taste preferences. Add in some sliced bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, or diced jalapeños for a spicy kick.

  1. Swap out the shrimp for crab legs or lobster tails for a luxurious seafood feast.
  2. Use chicken sausage instead of andouille for a lighter option.
  3. Add diced bell peppers and cherry tomatoes for extra color and flavor.
  4. Experiment with different seasoning blends, such as Old Bay or cajun seasoning.
  5. For a vegetarian version, omit the sausage and add extra veggies like zucchini, mushrooms, and carrots.
  6. Try using different types of potatoes, such as sweet potatoes or purple potatoes, for a unique twist.
  7. Add a splash of beer or white wine to the Cajun Butter Sauce for added depth of flavor.
  8. Top each packet with a sprinkle of shredded cheese before serving for a cheesy twist.
  9. Serve the shrimp boil packets over cooked rice or pasta for a hearty meal.
  10. Wrap individual portions of leftover shrimp boil in tortillas for delicious shrimp boil tacos.

What to Serve It With:

  1. Serve with a side of coleslaw for a refreshing contrast to the spicy Cajun flavors.
  2. Pair with crusty French bread or garlic bread for soaking up the delicious Cajun Butter Sauce.
  3. Serve alongside grilled cornbread or hushpuppies for a Southern-inspired feast.
  4. Pair with a crisp green salad dressed in a tangy vinaigrette for a light and refreshing side dish.
  5. Serve with a selection of hot sauces for those who like an extra kick of heat.
  6. Pair with your favorite potato salad recipe for a classic BBQ combination.
  7. Serve with a side of creamy macaroni and cheese for the ultimate comfort food feast.

Freezing Instructions:

  1. Once the Grilled Cajun Shrimp Boil Packets with Cajun Butter Sauce have cooled completely, transfer any leftovers to airtight freezer-safe containers or heavy-duty freezer bags.
  2. Seal the containers or bags tightly, ensuring there are no air pockets, to prevent freezer burn.
  3. Label the containers or bags with the date and contents for easy identification.
  4. Place the containers or bags in the freezer and store for up to 3 months.

Reheating Instructions:

  1. Thaw the frozen shrimp boil packets overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
  2. Once thawed, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) or grill to medium heat.
  3. Remove the shrimp boil packets from the containers or bags and place them on a baking sheet or directly on the grill.
  4. If using the oven, cover the packets loosely with aluminum foil to prevent them from drying out.
  5. Reheat the packets in the oven or on the grill for 15-20 minutes, or until heated through.
  6. Carefully open the packets and check that the contents are piping hot before serving.
  7. If desired, drizzle with additional Cajun Butter Sauce before serving.
  8. Enjoy your delicious Grilled Cajun Shrimp Boil Packets with Cajun Butter Sauce!

Pro Tips for Reheating:

  • Avoid reheating the shrimp boil packets in the microwave, as this can cause the shrimp to become rubbery and the vegetables to become soggy.
  • For an extra boost of flavor, brush the shrimp with a little extra Cajun Butter Sauce before reheating.
  • To prevent the potatoes from becoming mushy, be sure to reheat the packets gently and evenly.
  • Serve with fresh lemon wedges and chopped parsley for a vibrant and flavorful finishing touch on the side.
