The Ultimate Banana Caramel Yogurt Pie

Hey Smokin’ and Grillinwit AB fam! Today, we’re gonna whip up a mouthwatering Caramel Banana Yogurt Pie that’ll have your taste buds doin’ the happy dance. So, grab your apron, fire up that grill, and let’s get smokin’!

Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 2 3/4 cups Banana Nut Cheerios
  • 3/4 cup blanched almond flour
  • 5 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

For the Filling:

  • 3 cups nonfat Greek Yogurt (strained overnight in a cheesecloth)
  • 3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ripe banana (halved vertically)
  • 1/3 cup chopped roasted macadamia nuts
  • 1/4 cup caramel

Instructions

Step 1: Crust Creation

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat. We’re gonna get that smokin’ flavor in our crust!
  2. In a food processor, crush the Banana Nut Cheerios until you have a fine crumb.
  3. Mix the crushed Cheerios with almond flour, melted butter, and a pinch of salt. Combine until it’s like a good rub for your meat, folks.
  4. Press the mixture into a pie dish, forming a crust. Make sure it’s tight and ready to hold all that yogurt goodness.

Step 2: Grilling the Crust

  1. Place the pie dish on the preheated grill. Grill the crust for about 8-10 minutes, or until it’s golden and smoky. Keep an eye on it, we don’t want any burnt edges.

Step 3: Yogurt Filling Magic

  1. While the crust is coolin’, let’s work on that creamy filling. In a bowl, mix the strained Greek yogurt with honey (or maple syrup), cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Stir it up like you’re mixin’ a secret BBQ sauce.
  2. Spread this luscious mixture evenly over the cooled crust.

Step 4: Banana Bliss

  1. Now, grab that ripe banana, halve it vertically, and lay it gracefully on top of the yogurt filling. It’s gonna add a sweet, fruity kick.

Step 5: Nutty Crunch

  1. Sprinkle those chopped roasted macadamia nuts all over the pie. Get ’em in every nook and cranny for that delightful crunch.

Step 6: Caramel Drizzle

  1. Finally, let’s finish it off with a generous drizzle of caramel. Don’t be shy; let it flow like the flavor river it is.

Step 7: Chill Time

  1. Pop that beauty into the fridge and let it chill for at least 2 hours. We want it cold and set for the ultimate dessert experience.

There you have it, folks! A Caramel Banana Yogurt Pie that’ll make you the grill master of desserts. Remember, keep smokin’, keep grillin’, and most importantly, keep eatin’ good! Enjoy!
