Popeyes Popcorn Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 pound Raw Shrimp (peeled, deveined, and tails removed)
  • 1 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon Onion Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Black Pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Ground White Pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Paprika
  • 2 teaspoons Oregano
  • 2 teaspoons Thyme
  • 6 Eggs
  • Vegetable Oil (For Frying)
  • Popeyes Blackened Ranch Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Dill Weed
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Parsley Flakes
  • 1 tablespoon Blackened Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • Salt (As Needed)
Instructions
  1. In a Ziploc bag, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour and Cajun seasoning to taste. 

  2. Whisk 4 eggs in a bowl, and dip each jumbo shrimp in the egg wash, then transfer to the Ziploc bag and shake until coated. 

  3. Fry the shrimp until golden brown, shaking occasionally to prevent sticking.

  4. Popeyes Blackened Ranch Sauce

    Mix 1 cup of ranch dressing with Cajun seasoning to taste.

  5. Stir until the seasoning is evenly distributed.

  6. Drain the fried shrimp on paper towels.

  7. Arrange the shrimp on a serving plate and Serve with the Homemade Blackened Ranch Sauce for dipping.
