Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans cleaned and trimmed
  • 1 stick ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 to 1½ teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons Creole seasoning
  • ¼ to ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

Instructions

  • Place a large skillet over medium heat. Add half a stick of butter and melt gently without browning.
  • Add the green beans and toss until fully coated. Add the remaining butter if needed.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the beans brighten in color and begin to soften.
  • Sprinkle with garlic powder, Creole seasoning, and red pepper flakes (optional). Toss to coat evenly.
  • Place a lid on the skillet and cook for 5–10 minutes, checking at the 5-minute mark. Cook until the beans are tender but still have a slight snap.
  • Transfer beans to a serving dish and pour any remaining seasoned butter from the pan over the top.
