Ingredients

For the Fried Chicken:

  • 2 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 3 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tbsp Water

For the Buttermilk Biscuits:

  • 2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 cup Cold Butter
  • 3/4 cup Buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted Butter Melted

For the Hot Honey:

  • 1 cup Honey
  • 2 tsp crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F.

  • Season your chicken with paprika, garlic powder, and kosher salt. Whisk it all together. Adjust to taste.
  • Cut biscuit dough into half-inch thick pieces. Brush with egg wash and bake for 15-17 minutes until golden brown.
  • Melt butter and brush it over the biscuits.
  • For the hot honey sauce, heat honey, add red chili flakes, and apple cider vinegar. Simmer until it's got that perfect blend of sweet and heat.
  • Pour the hot honey sauce over your fried chicken.
  • Assemble the masterpiece: Place that spicy, sweet chicken on a biscuit.
