Hot Honey Chicken

Crispy fried chicken tossed in a buttery hot honey sauce with bold sweet heat flavor.

Ingredients

  • lbs chicken breast or thighs cut into pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Smokin Sweet Heat seasoning to taste
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  • Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and Smokin Sweet Heat seasoning. Dredge the chicken in egg, then coat with the flour and cornstarch mixture. Fry in 350°F oil until golden and crispy, then drain on a wire rack.
  • Melt butter in a saucepan and stir in honey, hot sauce, vinegar, and Smokin Sweet Heat seasoning to taste. Simmer briefly until slightly thickened, then toss the chicken in the sauce and serve immediately.
