Ingredients

  • 1-2 Carando Abruzzese Fresh Italian Meatballs
  • 4-6 hoagie rolls
  • 4-6 provolone cheese
  • 12 oz marinara sauce
  • 6 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • Parmesan cheese & parsley for Garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat

  • Place the Carando Abruzzese Fresh Italian Meatballs on the grill grates.
  • Grill the meatballs, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and have a smoky, charred exterior.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise, creating a pocket for the meatballs.
  • Place a slice of provolone cheese inside each hoagie roll.
  • Heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan on the stovetop or in the microwave until warmed through.
  • Place the grilled meatballs into the hoagie rolls on top of the provolone cheese.
  • Pour a generous amount of warm marinara sauce over the meatballs.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of each sub.
  • Place the assembled subs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove the subs from the oven and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley for a finishing touch.
  • Allow the subs to cool slightly before slicing.
  • Serve your Meatball Subs hot and enjoy the delicious combination of smoky grilled meatballs, gooey melted cheese, and flavorful marinara sauce in every bite!
