Ingredients

  • For the Strawberry Syrup:
  • - 1 cup fresh strawberries hulled and chopped
  • - 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • - 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice about 4–6 lemons
  • - 4 cups cold water
  • - 1/2 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste

  • - Strawberry slices
  • - Fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  • For the Strawberry Syrup:
  • In a small saucepan, combine the chopped strawberries, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup water.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the strawberries are soft and the syrup has slightly thickened.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
  • Blend the syrup until smooth using a blender or immersion blender.
  • Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds and pulp.
  • Let the strawberry syrup cool completely.
  • For the Lemonade:
  • In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and 4 cups of cold water.
  • Add 1/2 cup of sugar (or more to taste) and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Once the strawberry syrup has cooled, pour it into the pitcher.
  • Stir well to combine.
  • To Serve:
  • Fill glasses with ice cubes.
  • Pour the strawberry lemonade over the ice.
  • Garnish with lemon slices, strawberry slices, and fresh mint leaves, if desired.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

- Adjust sugar based on your preferred sweetness level.
- Use frozen strawberries if fresh ones aren't available.
- For a bubbly twist, substitute 1–2 cups of water with sparkling water or club soda.
- The strawberry syrup can be made a day ahead and stored in the fridge.
