Ingredients

  • 2 lb Ground Beef
  • 15 oz Tomato Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese, cubed
  • 1 tbsp Steak Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Colby Jack Cheese, shredded
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper, diced (optional)
  • Toasted Baguette Slices or Tortilla Scoops (for serving)

Instructions

  • In a medium-high heat pan, brown 2 pounds of ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  • Add diced onions and optional diced green bell pepper to the beef. Stir and cook until onions are translucent. Season with steak seasoning. Taste and adjust if needed.
  • Add tomato sauce, red wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar. Stir and let it simmer on low for 10-12 minutes.
  • Add 2 cups of shredded Colby Jack cheese and cubed cream cheese. Stir until the cheeses are fully melted and incorporated.
  • Preheat your broiler. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded Colby Jack cheese over the top. Place the pan under the broiler for 5-6 minutes or until the cheese is melted and slightly browned. Take it out of the oven, let it cool for a minute, and serve with toasted baguette slices or tortilla scoops.
