- Thick slices of Brioche, Challah, or French Bread
- 8 oz Cream Cheese (1 pkg), softened
- 1/4 cup Sour Cream
- 3/4 cup Powdered Sugar, plus more for topping
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract, divided
- 1 cup Strawberries, Fresh or Frozen, sliced super thin
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 3 Eggs
- 1 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- Maple syrup for topping (optional)
- 8 Bacon slices
Wash and clean the strawberries. Cut the tops off and slice them in half. Sprinkle granulated sugar over the strawberries to create a syrup. Cover with Saran Wrap and refrigerate for about an hour.
In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix on low speed to avoid powdered sugar mess. Gradually increase speed until well combined. Set aside.
Cook bacon and strain the fat to remove impurities.
In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, and ground cinnamon.
Cut thick slices of Brioche, Challah, or French Bread.
Heat a pan and add butter. Dip each slice of bread in the egg mixture, making sure it's well-coated. Cook each side until golden brown.
Take a slice of cooked bread, spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture. Add a little bacon and some of the macerated strawberries. Top with another slice of bread to create a sandwich.
