Tater Tot Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb Italian Sausage
  • 1 bag Frozen Tater Tots
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 1/2 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese
  • 8 Eggs
  • 2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Onion, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 13x9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned and crumbled. Break it up into bite-sized pieces. Add chopped onions to the skillet and cook until translucent. Drain any excess fat if needed.

  • In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs and add milk. Whisk together. Season the egg mixture with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Whisk until well combined.
  • Pour the cooked sausage and onions in a large bowl. Add the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese and mix. Then, pour tater tot mixture into the baking dish.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the tater tots, ensuring an even distribution. Optional: Sprinkle additional mozzarella cheese on top for extra cheesiness.
  • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven, uncovered, and bake for approximately 60 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh touch. Slice and serve the Tater Tot Breakfast Casserole. Enjoy the cheesy, savory goodness!
