- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp cornstarch

- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/4 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
In a saucepan, combine water and soy sauce over medium heat.
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a little water to create a slurry. Add the cornstarch slurry to the saucepan, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the saucepan. Keep stirring to infuse the flavors into the sauce.
Stir in brown sugar, honey, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Continue to cook over medium heat until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
Taste the sauce and adjust sweetness or saltiness if needed. If you prefer a sweeter sauce, add more honey; for a saltier taste, add more soy sauce.
Once the sauce reaches the desired thickness, remove it from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
