Hey Folks, I’m here to share one of my all-time favorite burger recipes with you – the Peanut Butter & Bacon Jam Cheeseburger! Now, folks, I know what you’re thinking – peanut butter on a burger? But trust me, once you’ve experienced the blissful combination of creamy peanut butter and savory bacon jam, you’ll wonder why you never tried it before!
Ingredients
Burger:
- 1 pound 80/20 ground beef
- AB’s Burger Rub (or your preferred seasoning)
- Pepper Jack cheese slices
- Hamburger Buns
For Jerold’s Burger Sauce:
- 1/2 cup DUKES Mayo
- 2 tablespoons sweet relish
- 1 1/2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon adobo sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 cup finely chopped sweet onion
For the Bacon Jam:
- 2 packs Bacon
- 2 large Onions, finely chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha Sauce
- 2 tablespoons BBQ Sauce
- 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
- 1/4 cup Branch and Vine Hickory Balsamic Vinegar
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
Instructions:
Prepare the Bacon Jam:
First, Cook bacon until crispy in a skillet, then drain on paper towels. Then in the same skillet, sauté onions until caramelized, add minced garlic, and cook until fragrant.
Crumble bacon and return it to the skillet with onions and garlic. Stir in chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, Sriracha sauce, BBQ sauce, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, and brown sugar.
Finally, Simmer until thickened into a jam-like consistency, stirring occasionally.





Make Jerold’s Burger Sauce:
Mix DUKES Mayo, sweet relish, yellow mustard, adobo sauce, apple cider vinegar, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and chopped sweet onion in a bowl. Set aside.




Form and Cook the Patties:
Divide ground beef into patties, season with AB’s Burger Rub, and cook on a preheated flat top griddle until the desired doneness.
Lastly, Add Pepper Jack cheese slices during the last minute of cooking to melt.





Assemble the Peanut Butter & Bacon Jam Cheeseburger:
Toast hamburger buns on the griddle and spread Jerold’s Burger Sauce on the bottom bun.
Layer with bacon jam, cooked patties with melted cheese, more sauce and jam, and a dollop of peanut butter on the top bun.
Stack it up and serve immediately for a taste sensation like no other!






Notes:
- Adjust Sriracha sauce in the bacon jam for the desired spiciness.
- Customize with lettuce, tomato, or preferred toppings.
- Enjoy the sweet and savory combination of flavors in every bite!
Freezing Instructions:
- After assembling the burgers, allow them to cool completely to room temperature.
- Individually wrap each burger tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil to prevent freezer burn.
- Place the wrapped burgers in a single layer on a baking sheet and transfer them to the freezer.
- Once the burgers are frozen solid, transfer them to a freezer-safe zip-top bag or airtight container.
- Label the bag or container with the date and contents for easy identification.
- Store the burgers in the freezer for up to 1-2 months.
Reheating Instructions:
- Remove the desired number of burgers from the freezer and let them thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Unwrap the thawed burgers from the plastic wrap or aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the burgers in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until heated through.
- Alternatively, you can reheat the burgers on a preheated grill or in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until warmed through.
- Once heated, assemble the burgers with fresh toppings and enjoy!
