Ingredients  

  • 1 Whole Red Snapper scaled and cleaned
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tbsp Black Pepper
  • Salt To Taste
  • 1 Egg
  • Cooking oil For Frying

Instructions 

  • Scale and clean the red snapper.

  • Score the fish on both sides, creating shallow cuts to allow seasoning to penetrate.
  • Whisk an egg to create an egg wash, acting as a binder for the seasoned flour.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  • Brush the fish with the egg wash, ensuring it reaches the scores for flavor.
  • Coat the fish evenly with the seasoned flour mixture.
  • Heat cooking oil to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Carefully place the seasoned red snapper into the hot oil.
  • Remove the fried red snapper and place it on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
    Garnish as desired.
  • Serve the red snapper hot and crispy for a delicious Fish Fry Friday experience.
