Welcome back to Smoking and Grilling with me, A.B. Today, I’m unleashing a Meat Lovers lasagna recipe that’s nothing short of a flavor explosion. Buckle up for a culinary journey filled with sizzling meats, aromatic herbs, and gooey cheeses. Let’s dive into the ultimate comfort food!
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 lb Ground Pork
- 2 tsp dried Basil
- 2 tsp dried Oregano
- 1/2 tsp Fennel Seeds
- 1/2 tsp crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- 6 cups Marinara Sauce or your favorite Pasta Sauce
- Fresh Parsley, for garnish
- 1 box Lasagna Noodles
- 16 oz Ricotta Cheese
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 lb Provolone Cheese
- 1/2 lb Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
Instructions

Put Cooking Oil in a Dutch oven, work your magic on the Ground Beef and Ground Pork until perfection. Season it up with a dash of Salt, Pepper, Basil, Oregano, Fennel Seeds, and crushed Red Pepper Flakes.

Pour in 6 cups of your go-to Marinara Sauce, letting it dance with the meaty goodness. Allow those flavors to waltz together, creating a symphony of taste.

While the sauce serenades, whisk up a creamy concoction with Ricotta Cheese, an Egg, and a sprinkle of Salt and Pepper. It’s the maestro behind the layers.

Cook your Lasagna Noodles al dente, laying them out like a culinary canvas. They’re the foundation for this masterpiece.

It’s time for the grand reveal. In a greased baking dish, start the masterpiece with a meaty layer, followed by noodles, the Ricotta mix, Provolone, Mozzarella, and a sprinkle of Parmesan. Repeat until you reach the cheesy summit.

Cover your culinary creation with foil and let it perform in the oven at 375°F for 40 minutes. Unveil the magic, and let it bask for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese reaches a golden crescendo.

Like any maestro, your Meat Lovers Lasagna needs a moment to rest – a solid 15 minutes. Garnish with fresh Parsley and serve!

My wife prepared this yesterday for my birthday. She doubled the ground beef. The best lasagna I ever had was in Italy. This was right up there. It was so delicious. We avoided the store bought sauce and used our homemade spaghetti sauce. Now, thanks to AB, we have a solid foundation to build own. I highly recommend.
I made this recipe over the weekend, and everyone loved it. It’s absolutely delicious, and the leftovers were fantastic. The only changes I made were to add spinach and pepperoni to a layer for extra flavor.
I love this recipe super easy to make and it’s good
I made this about 3 weeks ago. DELICIOUS is all I can say!
