Key Ingredients

Eggs
The foundation of any deviled egg recipe. Firm egg whites hold the filling, while the yolks create the rich, creamy base that makes deviled eggs so satisfying.

Mayonnaise
Adds classic deviled egg richness and helps bind the yolk mixture into a smooth, creamy filling.

Sour Cream
Balances the mayonnaise with a light tang and extra creaminess, keeping these deviled eggs from tasting heavy.

Dijon Mustard
Brings subtle sharpness and depth, enhancing the flavor without overpowering the eggs.

White Wine Vinegar
Adds acidity to brighten the filling and balance the rich ingredients.

Fresh Lemon Juice
Lifts the overall flavor with a clean, fresh citrus note that makes these deviled eggs pop.

Fresh Chives
Provide mild onion flavor and a fresh finish that complements the creamy filling.

Parsley
Adds herbaceous balance and freshness, rounding out the savory elements.

Garlic Powder
Delivers savory depth without overwhelming the delicate egg flavor.

Onion Powder
Enhances seasoning and supports the garlic for a well-rounded taste.

Salt & Black Pepper
Essential for bringing all flavors together in this classic deviled eggs recipe.

Parmesan Cheese
Adds salty, nutty richness that gives these Million Dollar Deviled Eggs their signature flavor.

Crispy Bacon Bits
Introduce smoky flavor and crunch, creating contrast against the creamy yolk filling.

Paprika
Used as a garnish for color and a subtle smoky finish.

1. Boil the Eggs

Place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, turn off the heat, cover, and let the eggs sit for 12 minutes.

2. Cool and Peel

Transfer the eggs to an ice bath and let them cool for about 5 minutes. This makes peeling easier and helps keep the egg whites intact.

3. Prepare the Egg Whites

Slice the eggs in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl. Arrange the egg whites on a serving platter.

4. Make the Filling

Mash the egg yolks until smooth. Add mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, white wine vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until creamy and well combined.

5. Add the Flavor

Fold in Parmesan cheese, chopped chives, chopped parsley, lemon juice, and crispy bacon bits until evenly incorporated.

6. Fill the Eggs

Spoon or pipe the filling into the egg whites, filling them generously for that classic creamy deviled eggs look.

7. Garnish and Serve

Sprinkle lightly with paprika and garnish with additional chives. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve. I served mine in this Deviled Egg Container!

Tips for the Best Deviled Eggs

  • Use eggs that are a few days old for easier peeling
  • Chill the filling before piping for cleaner presentation
  • Add cayenne pepper or hot sauce for spicy deviled eggs
  • These deviled eggs can be made ahead and refrigerated until serving
